Statue of Liberty!

This is the structuring of the Statue of Liberty, taken from inside the staircase to the pedestal.Β

This shot involved quite a lot of kneeling and squinting on my part.

On the way to Liberty island, I was one many of tourists all clamoring for a picture of the famous New York City skyline.

I have absolutely no idea what the central building in this picture is for, but it’s reflective exterior is gorgeous against the (not totally smoggy?!) New York sky.

Definitely my favorite part of the trip so far: seeing Sara Bareilles perform as Jenna in the Waitress. It was incredible.

Some other things I did today:

  • I nearly saw Ellis Island, but my group left Liberty island too late. πŸ™‚
  • I ate at Ellen’s Stardust Diner (aka the Singing Diner). The service was awful, but the singing was excellent.

And that was it! Stay tuned for more pictures tomorrow. ❀
